Certified Nursing Assistant Charged with Sexual Elder Abuse

A Colorado certified nursing assistant (CNA) has been charged with seven counts of sexual assault  and crimes against at-risk adults. Antonio Nieto, a CNA of Broomfield Skilled Nursing, is accused of assaulting two residents ages 59 and 73. An investigation regarding a third 93 year old victim is ongoing.

The nursing home had been alerted to complaints about Nieto, but an internal investigation determined that the complaints were unfounded and allowed Nieto to return to work. Nieto has been working at the facility since January.

The victims came forward with allegations of forced sex and fondling. Nieto admitted to police that he was “turned on” at work and and that the allegations were true.
